really am thankful for the variety ...

some shots were more difficult to take ( like the red insect there ... i had a hard time crouching on the ground and following that little guy!! boy, i never realized he could move that fast! hahaha ) while the others were ... hmmm. just lucky shots? lol ... :D

i hope that they'll still be around ( and healthy! ) even after a couple or so hundreds of years later ... some of them we'd like to swat and/or spray with toxic substances, but hey, i guess they are also needed in the ecosystem! hmmm ... i wonder of what use the mosquitoes are ... yeah, food for the frogs! ;P

feel so lucky ( and thankful!! ) to have seen these guys and taken their picture! :o)
nature is really interesting stuff ... for me, that is! lol ... :D

political unrest never seems to die down ...

once a problem has been solved, another one crops up so fast you never knew what hit you! hahaha ...

but i guess that is ... ... ... what? am stumped. sign of a dynamic economy? LOL

oh, yeah, that picture is a macro of a Philippine five hundred peso bill ... the same bill that i used earlier today for our lunch. had food delivered ... ;p

so sorry can't stay long ... i still tire easily. but i'll definitely be doing the rounds!

Kumot At Unan.mp3 - sung by another Filipino group called APO Hiking Society ... really also another oldie! saw this cd and since it was on sale... lol. i like their beat here ...

i wonder, is the grass greener on the other side??!!

came upon this rather inquisitive red ant while i was rummaging for some food. obviously, i had competition! but, of course, i had the upper hand (both literally and figuratively)!

fortunately, before he could get to my sandwhich, i had already gobbled it all up (sooo unlady-like, i know . . .tsk.tsk.tsk!)!!! well, except for a few crumbs here and there... which i know would make him happy!

but, no . . . i had to clean the table. wouldn't want to encourage him and his kind to just go and make a beeline for the table everytime there's food there!!!

so . . . is the grass greener on the other side? most probably, for the red ant. :o)

**obviously, our house doesn't support a high level of cleanliness . . . just the average level** LOL
